Alpha Omega Epsilon | Rho Chapter | Virginia Tech
Alpha Omega Epsilon is a professional and social engineering sorority that focuses on promoting women in engineering while offering the bonds of sisterhood. We were chartered as the Rho Chapter of Alpha Omega Epsilon on January 22, 2006. Our sisters are from all walks of life with many differing interests, but one thing we all understand is how difficult it is to be a woman in the male-dominated field of engineering. To help all of our sisters find a niche, our sorority is involved in a wide array of activities.
We participate in a variety of Professional Development, Community Service,
Philanthropy, and Social events.

A Letter From the Rho Chapter's President
September 9, 2016
What's up lovely ladies!
Welcome to the Alpha Omega Epsilon Rho Chapter website. We are a sisterhood of female engineers who strive for success in our academics, our professions, and our relationships. There are so many things our sisters have accomplished - undergraduate research, internships and co-ops with Boeing, DuPont, GE, and more, careers around the world, service in our military, and much, much more. Each of us brings our unique personalities and our passions to the table that help our sorority grow stronger, more supportive, and one of the largest chapters in the nation! Not only are we professional and social, we are also very service-oriented, with the highest number of service hours per sister of all our chapters, as well as philanthropic, participating in several Greek philanthropies throughout the year. During the fall, we hold our own philanthropy called Take It To The Max - a week-long event that supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and is dedicated to one of our founding sisters, Maxine Turner, who died in April 2007.
Here at Virginia Tech, AΩE offers a home within a home - a place to be yourself, love and respect one another, and be beautiful Hokies! We are holding three open recruitment events this Fall 2016, starting on September 27th, so please come out and consider becoming a sister. Formal recruitment will take place at the beginning of the spring semester. If you have any more questions about our chapter that you don't find on the website, please email our Executive Board at email@example.com or visit our national website, www.alphaomegaepsilon.org for more information about our organization.
